OBJECTIVE: Complete 4 SETS + 1 PAIR (or 7 PAIRS) and declare "Mahjong!" First to 10,000 points wins.
TILES: Suits (Bamboo/Characters/Dots 1-9) • Honors (4 Winds, 3 Dragons) • Flowers (8 total)
SETUP: Build wall • Roll dice (high roll deals) • Deal by dice count • 13 tiles each, dealer gets 14

Standard: 4 Sets + 1 Pair (pair required for Mahjong)
•    Pong: 3 identical tiles • Chow: 3 sequential same-suit tiles • Pair: 2 identical tiles
Seven Sisters: 7 Pairs (no sets) - High risk, high reward! Only final pair can be called.

Your Turn: Draw 1 tile → Discard 1 tile face-up
Calling Tiles:
•    Pong: ANY player can call out-of-turn • Chow: ONLY next player can call • Pair: ONLY to win Mahjong
•    Reveal set face-up, then discard normally
Winning: Complete 14-tile hand → Declare "Mahjong!" → Score and reshuffle

•    Caught with 5-6 pairs when opponent wins = 300-1,000 pts (mediocre vs. 4,000+ potential)

With Sets: Score all sets + your BEST pair only • All other tiles = unused (penalized)
No Sets (all pairs): Score ALL pairs at 100/200 pts each • Remaining tiles = unused (penalized)

BIRD & FLOWER MINI-GAME
Flowers: Must expose immediately when drawn → draw replacement tile
1-Bamboo "Bird" Discard:
•    MUST land on unboosted flower if available (cannot be called by others)
•    Flies clockwise from next player until finding unboosted flower
•    Place Bird on flower to mark "boosted" • Max 1 boost per flower
•    No available flowers → discard to center (can be called)
Flower Scoring:
•    Regular: Cancel 1 unused regular tile OR +50 pts
•    Boosted: Cancel 1 unused honor tile OR cancel 1 regular tile +50 pts bonus OR +100 pts if no unused tiles

• Middle tiles (3-7) more flexible for Chows • Hidden sets = 2× exposed • Honor sets worth extra • Seven Sisters: Ultimate gamble - accidentally form a set and your pairs become worthless! Only attempt when desperate or drawing pairs early. • 1-Bamboo boosts flowers - expose early for free boosts!
