Oaklandon Pair Arrested

An Oaklandon Pair Arrested. John Hinds and Ed McConnell. both living near Oaklandon, were arrested last night by Captain Kruger and Detectives Asch and Dugan. McConnell reported to the police that his watch had been stolen and wanted officers sent to his home to arrest the thief, who was known. About that time a report came from a barrel house on East Washington street that a man was trying to sell a watch similar to the one described by McConnell. Hinds was found with the watch and a part of the chain, the other part being yet attached to McConnell. McConnell, who Is said to have gone to sleep in the barrel house, tried to secure Hinds's release and was himself locked up for drunkenness.
