Has Narrow Escape. Fortville Tribune.
Charles Jarrett, of this place,, who has been located at the Army Post this summer, had a narrow escape from death or injury about 8 o'clock, Wednesday night. He was driving a spring wagon and while crossing the Big Pour tracks west of Oaklandon, was struck by train No.74, an eastbound freight. The horse was killed, the wagon demolished and Jarrett saved himself by rolling out of the back end of the wagon before it was struck.
