Poor Judgment
Hugh Smock, giving his address as Oaklandon, stopped two women at Missouri and Washington streets, Tuesday night, offered them a drink of "white mule" and tried to induce them to take a ride in his automobile, which, he said, was parked nearby. The women happened to be policewomen Duclus and Rupert. They called to Patrolman Mueller, who was on the other side of the street, and as a result Smock is scheduled to appear on charges of operating a "blind tiger" and offending persons on the street.
